We hope you will have a nice stay in Mannheim and take the chance to provide you with more information on your journey to Mannheim. You will it find easy to travel to Mannheim because it is very well connected within the German railway network. Even Paris can be reached within a 3.5 hours train ride.
The city center of Mannheim is very compact with the university at its center. As the only city in Germany, it is divided into squares like a checkerboard, which makes it easy to orient yourself. At the center of the city is the castle, which accomodates parts of the university today. The castle was built in the 1720s under Elector Carl Philipp as one of the largest absolutist Baroque palaces on the Upper Rhine.
EITM Europe, however, will take place in the newer part of the university, which comes with the advantage of air conditioned rooms. The hotel is within walking distance and you will find many places to eat and go out in the city.
